Antique Catholic Miraculous Medal Pendant Virgin Mary Religious Relic

This antique Catholic medal pendant is a beautiful and meaningful piece of religious devotion, featuring the Miraculous Medal, also known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception. The medal was designed by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1830.

The front of the medal features an image of Mary, her arms outstretched, rays of light emanating from her hands, symbolizing graces bestowed on those who ask for them. The inscription "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee" surrounds the image, although it is worn due to the age of the medal. The reverse side (not pictured) traditionally features the letter "M" surmounted by a cross and twelve stars, symbolizing the twelve apostles and the twelve tribes of Israel. There are also two hearts, one pierced with a sword and the other crowned with thorns, representing the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
