A Vintage 1960s "Head of Christ" Foil Dashboard Token ~ Iconic Warner Sallman Art

Become the next caretaker of this incredible piece of American religious and cultural history. This is a vintage dashboard or pocket token featuring the world-famous "Head of Christ" by artist Warner Sallman. With its vibrant, light-catching foil background, this token is a beautiful example of mid-century devotional art.

The Most Recognizable Face of Jesus

The image on this token is Warner Sallman's 1940 "Head of Christ," one of the most reproduced artworks in history, with over 500 million copies printed. It became the definitive image of Jesus for generations, famously distributed to millions of American soldiers during WWII. This token is a direct link to that powerful legacy.

Authentic Mid-Century "Foil" Design

This is not a modern reproduction. It was crafted in the 1950s-1970s using a popular technique of the era. The image of Christ is printed on a shimmering, textured foil background and encased in hard, clear plastic. This gives the image a striking, almost holographic effect as it catches the light. The back shows residue from its original adhesive pad, confirming its history as a cherished dashboard token meant to offer comfort and protection on the road.
